It will continue to astound me that despite huge steps in technology and automation the quality of design and typography in many printed items falls far short of where it should be. There are still plenty of items which are beautifully crafted, but they are dwarfed by the number of pieces which aren’t. It goes well beyond simple things like spell check and proof reading, which most marketers already take for granted, but there is a noticeable lack of understanding how printed matter works, and that what works on a screen isn’t always well suited to reading as a physical item. So from a simple leaflet, to a complex book or integrated suite of campaign collateral we can bring together the right mix of creative direction, typographic and illustrative design, cross media knowledge and integrated mail specialisms.
So don’t put up with artwork dressed up as design, or get fobbed off with ordinary page layout – there is always a better answer.
