Project Description

Oddly the importance of paper knowledge seems to have become less and less as the skill and experience in the printing industry has become devalued.  Thankfully there are still a few of us that have invested many years of our time learning our craft.  Knowing how papers behave when they have been printed is different to which coloured or textured paper looks good.  Getting the right paper selected for a particular product can make an enormous difference to how its received, how it performs and often or not how it affects the budget.

Choosing the cheapest, or more likely the ‘wrong’ paper or board for a project can very easily bring with it a multitude of issues.  If you value your printed matter or campaign materials a little more then don’t be tempted to use the sort of supplier that doesn’t understand this.  If terms like opacity, bulk or grain direction make your suppliers representative stumble over their words then perhaps we should talk.
